Our reception at The Skyland Manor Castle was grand. When we first saw the manor house and it’s extended property, we were taken away by its beauty!! It was simply breathtaking. What we love most is that this beautiful place is nestled in the middle of a state park. As with most gems, you would never know it was there. Although we had picked this beautiful place, I still wanted to personalize it with little details that would make it more memorable. Everyone nowadays rents photo booths, however, I didn’t want my wedding to be like everyone else’s. Therefore, I had Moon Forrest Décor create a Möss board in which my guests filled with polaroid pictures of the evening. I also displayed picture of us growing up and growing together all over the castle. I brought in a typerwriter in which I placed a written message for all my guests to read. And so many more… I had so many ideas but you never know what the final product going to look like. What I can say is that when it all comes together, I can truly tell you it is better than you will ever imagine it could be. Our day had a vintage yet rustic feel, filled with candles and flower accents by Moon Forrest Floral Décor. It gave our wedding theme a soft, romantic feel and that’s exactly what our vision was.
There are so many wonderful parts to my wedding day. From the tender heart felt moments to the fun and playful moments. However, if I had to absolutely pick one it would have to be when I walked down the aisle and my father handed me over to my soon To be husband. It was this beautiful moment where I realized that my life had changed forever. A moment where my past was morphed into my future. And honestly, being married now for four months, things aren’t that different. Life goes on in a similar fashion. But symbolically, life changed that day.”
