A Night to Remember: Celebrating the Grand Opening of Our New Studio

Wow, what a night! On December 11th, we opened the doors to our brand-new studio space in Paramus, NJ, and celebrated with an incredible group of friends, clients, and supporters. From the bottom of my heart, thank you to everyone who joined us—it truly wouldn’t have been the same without you!

From the moment guests walked into the studio, the energy was pure celebration. The photo booth was buzzing with laughter as friends and clients struck fun poses to capture the moment. Delicious snacks and drinks filled the space as we toasted to new beginnings and this exciting new chapter.

The Studio: A Space Designed for Confidence & Beauty

For those who couldn’t make it, I’m thrilled to give you a little peek into the new studio! This space is light, airy, and completely private, with a gorgeous natural-light shooting area, a private dressing space, and even a shower for those who want a little extra glam touch during their session.

One of the highlights of the studio is what you’ll see on our walls: a variety of beautiful custom wall art that we offer to our clients. From framed canvas prints and sleek metal prints to stunning framed and matted fine art prints, the space showcases how your portraits can be transformed into timeless artwork for your home.

My Visit to WHCC: A Behind-the-Scenes Experience

Ever wondered where your beautiful Boudoir Albums come to life? Join me on a behind-the-scenes adventure at WHCC’s production facility and see the magic unfold!

Last month, I had the incredible opportunity to visit the White House Custom Color (WHCC) album production facility, and it was an experience I’ll never forget.

From the moment I arrived, I felt the warmth and hospitality of the WHCC team. Meeting Matt and Eydie was like reconnecting with old friends—they greeted me with a hug and a gift basket! This warm welcome set the tone for the rest of my visit.

The Facility Tour

The WHCC facility is a marvel—beautiful, well-organized, and super efficient. They produce a high volume of diverse products with impeccable attention to detail. Seeing the production process firsthand was fascinating, especially how they handled my sample album, fixing even the tiniest scratch on the canvas. This meticulous attention to detail truly reflects their commitment to quality.

Watching My Album Being Made

Watching my custom album being made was amazing. Donny and Kayleigh did an incredible job with the printing, ensuring every detail was perfect. Laurie, the leather guru, showed me all the beautiful leather options and hand-crafted the cover of my album. The craftsmanship involved was truly impressive.

 

 

 

Watching My Custom Canvas Being Made

Another highlight was watching Brian create my custom canvas. I was blown away by their standards—when they spotted a minor scratch, they immediately reprinted the canvas. Seeing the photo being printed, receiving a special coating, and then being stretched by hand onto a custom-made frame was incredible. The friendly and knowledgeable staff made the experience even better.

 

Memorable Moments

One of the best parts of my visit was the interview with Matt. It was filled with laughter and engaging conversations. The team members were hilarious and made the whole process enjoyable. It was an honor to share my insights on client communications and connecting with clients on a deeper level.

Your shoot will be exactly what you want it to be, but there is naturally an element of sensuality to it. When it comes to something so incredibly personal, there are bound to be feelings of vulnerability and the fear of being judged. It is not for anyone but you to decide what makes you feel like a goddess. I’m there as a facilitator, and to capture it in the art of photography. I do not judge. Besides, nobody will see these photographs unless you choose to share them. They can be your little secret!

Boudoir Myth: Everybody will see my photographs

As the client, YOU decide what I can use for promotional purposes. After your shoot is over, we will go through the photographs and choose your favorites, but you will also choose if there are any photographs you are willing to let me use for my portfolio and for other promotional use such as Instagram and my web site. I require explicit permission from each client before I post a boudoir photograph online. If you decide you do not want your photographs posted online then this is completely fine too. They are your pictures to do with as you see fit. We shoot a lot of our promo work with willing models for this reason!

There seem to be many myths pertaining to boudoir photography. And unfortunately, these myths prevent many women from participating in this amazing experience! Let’s go ahead and bust one of the biggest myths and ease your fears if you find yourself being hesitant.

Boudoir Myth:  I have to be naked

It doesn’t matter if you’re wearing lingerie, a potato sack, or nothing at all. The main purpose of Boudoir photography is to empower the subject, not to make them uncomfortable. There is only one person who dictates how far you need to go with your shoot in order to reveal your inner goddess, and that is you. You don’t have to jump up and down on the bed in your birthday suit to feel empowered, though if you choose to do so you will not be judged for it.
